Your data stays in Canada.

Your allergen profile is the most personal thing we hold. So it stays in Canada, under PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, from the first scan.

The posture

Your allergen profile is the most personal thing we hold. So we hold as little as possible.

Pearchy reads Canadian labels against your allergen profile. That profile is what we keep to a minimum. The data stays small by design, stays in Canada, and gets deleted when you ask.

Four promises

Things we can keep.

Data stays in Canada

Your account and allergen profile are stored in Canada, with backups kept in Canada too.

Never sold

We do not sell, rent, or share waitlist data. No third-party advertising cookies. Full stop.

Never tied to you

Your scans feed an anonymized pool that improves allergen coverage. We never link an individual scan back to you.

Delete on request

Email hello@pearchy.com from the address on file. We delete your account within 30 days, often within 48 hours.

We do not store photographs of you.

Clause 3: What we do not store

Every verdict carries this line

Pearchy reads what is declared. You verify the package.

We keep your data to a minimum, in Canada, under Canadian law. The verdict tells you what the label says. The shelf tells you what the product is.

Based on declared ingredients. Always verify the physical package. Not medical advice.

Full policy

Everything, in plain language.

What we store

Your account email. The allergen profiles you set up for yourself and family members. The history of products you have scanned, with anonymized references to product identifiers, not photographs of you. Optional first name or nickname. Optional region (province).

Where we store it

In Canada. Pearchy is built so your data stays in Canadian jurisdiction, and backups are kept in Canada too.

What we do not store

We do not store photographs of you. We do not store location beyond the province you optionally provide. We do not sell, rent, or share lead lists.

How we use scan data

Scan events feed an anonymized signal pool that helps us improve bilingual allergen coverage and detect when a product gets recalled. We aggregate. We do not attribute individual scans to identifiable users in any analysis surface.

Your rights under Canadian law

Under PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25 (Law 25), and Quebec Bill 96, you can request a full export of your data, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete your account. Email hello@pearchy.com from the address on file. We respond within 30 days, often within 48 hours.

Bill 96 (Quebec) equal prominence

All website surfaces, in-product user interface, and email communications are available in French at parity. Quebec subscribers default to French unless they switch.

Cookies and tracking

Pearchy uses only first-party cookies necessary for the waitlist and (when launched) for account sign-in. No third-party advertising cookies. We use privacy-friendly analytics only, with IP truncation.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes materially, we will write to every email on the waitlist before the change takes effect. Minor wording fixes are dated at the top of this page.
